Gold 905 is an English-language radio station that broadcasts in Singapore. Owned by the state-owned broadcaster Mediacorp, it provides a classic hits format. The station's origins date to the beginning of regulated radio broadcasting in Singapore; it initially broadcast on AM under call sign ZHL, and carried programmes in English, Chinese, Malay, and Tamil. With the gradual expansion of language-based radio services in Singapore, the station focused on English-language programmes. It was renamed Radio 1 in 1982; it offered a full service format until 1998, when news programming was relocated to the new NewsRadio 93.8, and 90.5 relaunched as an oldies station. GOLD is a New Zealand radio station playing classic hits and classic rock of the late 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and 1990s targeting an audience of listeners above 45 years of age. AIR FM Gold is an FM radio channel in Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata and Chennai, India. It is run by the All India Radio, a government owned enterprise, a division of Prasar Bharati. In Mumbai, it features Hindi songs, and English songs along with hourly news in English and Hindi. It operates on 100.1 in Mumbai and on 100.1 Megahertz in Delhi. It was started on 15 August 2001 by the then Minister of Information & Broadcasting. History Late Indivar Sacdeva, Rajiv Saxena and Naveen K. Gupta were some of the broadcasters who were involved with devising the channel's content and presentation style when it was started in September 2001. At that time this channel was just called FM-2.
